A man has been arrested after a drone stopped play during Liverpool 's pre-season friendly with Huddersfield Town.

The Reds lifted the Bill Shankly trophy at the John Smith's Stadium after a 2-0 win courtesy of goals from Marko Grujic and a late Alberto Moreno penalty.

Play was temporarily halted in the 61st minute however when a drone was spotted hovering above the pitch.

Police officers were deployed to investigate the object and, after the pilot was identified and the drone seized, play was allowed to continue.
